Jim Gracie
has more than 25 years of experience in stream assessment, enhancement and restoration. He has successfully applied the Rosgen Stream Classification System in many restoration projects throughout Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic Region. He has helped develop standards for steam restoration and has supervised more than 30 stream restoration projects. President of Brightwater Inc., he earned his B.S. degree in chemistry at The Johns Hopkins University and his M.B.A. at the University of Baltimore.Mike Clar, P.E., chairs of the Urban Water Resources Research Council of the American Society of Civil Engineering and co-chairs its Urban Stream Committee. He participated in developing the U.S. Interagency Manual on River Corridor Protection and Restoration, and is an instructor on a 5-day workshop on the manual contents. President of Ecosite, Inc., he earned his B.S. in civil engineering at the University of Maryland and his M.S. in mining engineering at The Pennsylvania State University. He is president of the Maryland Society of Professional Engineers.
