Stream Restoration Construction Techniques

This course is designed for those in the business of contracting for stream restoration projects or providing construction management services for these projects, as well as environmental regulators, land developers and those responsible for monitoring of stream restoration measures. Participants will learn how to strake out the job to assure control available for the entire period with a minimum of survey time; techniques for handling native materials such as root wads, footer logs and vane logs; and tricks for controlling sediment during construction with a minimum of cost and effort. They will also learn to understand critical dimensions and features of stream restoration projects.
